Anna is from New Zealand and is studying a Bachelor Business at Griffith University in Brisbane.
Anna would like to a part of Queensland Student Advisory Panel to advocate for change. She wants to represent students who yearn for their voice to be heard regarding factors and initiatives that affect them.
As a New Zealand Citizen, she is considered a domestic student, however she understands how difficult it can be for International Students to adjust to a country with different policies, culture and society. She wants to ensure that all students regardless of where they are from have a positive experience of Queensland and Australia. She hopes to develop policies and strategies that truly reflect international student needs. She believes that being a part of the Queensland Advisory Panel will help her achieve this.
Anna hopes to bring a student perspective around policies, strategies, events and programs so that they reflect the true International student experience, create a positive difference in International student communities in Queensland and create a channel for communication between International students and Study Queensland.
Anna choose Queensland and Griffith University because she felt the pathways were ideal and the opportunities to develop her professional and personal skills were endless. She also enjoys the wildlife and environmental setting of Queensland, and how her University was able to help her adjust to life in Australia.
